Contemplation

My words don’t seem to want to come me out and play with me these days, so I thought I would just quote someone else. This quote seems particularly apropos during early spring, when the light and sound are so apparent.

“The mountains, rivers, earth, grasses, trees and forest are always emanating a subtle precious light, day and night, always emanating a subtle precious sound, demonstrating and expounding to all people the unsurpassed ultimate truth. It is just because you miss it right where you are, or avoid it even if you face it, that you are unable to attain actual use of it.”
Chan Buddhist Master, Yuansou
11th century China

You may have only quoted another but we must always remember the power a good quotation can have 🙂

“The wisdom of the wise, and the experience of ages, may be preserved by quotation.”

    Loved the piece 🙂

I would hope that Master Chan looked beyond flora and fauna to seek Ultimate Truth in the Human Mindbody, where it ultimately is revealed and resides.
